Happy iNSBD - Freebie

Howdy Peeps;

How are you all doing? Enjoying Spring?
Are you ready for the biggest weekend in Scrap booking History?
Unfortunately I won't be around. Tyler has his last tournament this weekend and it's an over nighter. That means another weekend in some hotel near the arena. Then the season is finally over. Amen to that.

In light of me being MIA I pulled out my Monogram book and re did it for you today so you can create your own.
My book was called Life is.... I've also included the lower case letters and numbers, the front and back covers, and the reverse page.

Unfortunately I can only offer it out in PSP format because -50 mb is a lot smaller to upload then 350 mb in PSD format.
I don't understand why a 2 mb file in psp format converts to a 12 mb file in psd format but that sucks big time.
The copyright image and my logo, seen in the preview below, is only for the preview and is not included.

Scrap That Idea Turns Two

Happy Birthday Scrap That Idea!

Let's Celebrate!

March 1st 2011 marked the 2nd anniversary of Scrap That Idea.

Scrap That Idea was created by 4 wonderfully talented girls who love to scrap.

I first came across Victoria Parker about 5 years ago when she first began to dabble in online digital scrapbooking and communication. As a 'newbie' to the digital scrap booking world she wooed us with her talented creativity through 'Freebies'. As Vicki learned new scrap booking techniques and traveled in scrap booking circles, she met 3 other wonderfully talented scrap booking girls; Stacey, Sara & Mel. During the first couple of years these 4 girls not only became great friends, they would also collab on many projects together, so much so, that 2 years ago, on March 1st, Scrap That Idea was born.
Scrap That Idea bought each of these talented scrap booking designers together to offer the online public a store to purchase their scrap booking products, a forum to play, learn, chat, get the latest new, etc., a blog to keep the web community apprised of what the girls are up to at Scrap That Idea, and much more.
A year and a half later Scrap That Idea added another friend and wonderfully talented designer, to their group from their CT Team, Laramie. To date they are all quite busy creating fantastic scrap booking supplies while keeping their forum actively rocking with fun.

During their 2nd year anniversary party their is lots of fun going on in the forums so head on over and join in on the celebrations and make some points for participating.

Every month, with the purchase of $5.00 or more in the store, you not only get some fantastic scrap booking products and points towards future purchases but you also get a free collab kit.

And this month Scrap That Idea has a special event going on that you truly do not want to miss out on. Check it out.

Head on over to Scrap That Idea, get some fantastic scrap booking supplies and join in on all the fun!

Time to Relax

Howdy Folks;

How have you all been? Are you all prepped for the big day? This year went by so fast. Isn't that always the way when you are busier then a bee in summertime. Whew, it's time to relax. I so need to do that LOL. When Mum said she wanted to have the dinner at her house this year I was overjoyed. Thou I love company, and we'll have plenty of that over the break, I really wasn't looking forward to cooking for everyone on the big day. To be honest I am burnt out and need 3 days of good uninterrupted sleep which I will be doing starting Monday.
We did get to put the tree up and I have a few photos of some of my favorites to show you. First let me say that the only thing I actually help with is the beads, the boys do all the rest. I have to say they have great imaginations too because the way they put it all together has stories behind every placement.

This one is the musical tale of the wise man and the big fish he caught. (the Wise man, the violin and the fisherman)

In this one the Angel watches over the babies while they sleep.

This is Joe's new ornament for 2010. He's an avid Campbell Soup Ornament Collector.

Joe got this Santa ornament when he was a kid from his Mum. Behind it is his Lou Gehrig ornament he got from my Mum on our first Xmas in our new home. Above it my Norman Rockwell ornament I got in 1994. I've taken this photo off the angle of the story. Sorry boys LOL

And this one is my Christmas card for 2010. This ornament is from a set I got from my Mum. They were always on our tree when I was a kid and she knew I loved them so she gave them to me.
You may have noticed that we don't put up a real tree. Ours is a fake one. And a heck of a lot easier to put away without a mess.
We had a real tree once but the mess, the watering, Joe sneezing all the time, it was to much so we just bought a nice size fake one our second Xmas and it's been faithful to us ever since. And no stickies :)

Over the last few weeks, while Tyler has been getting changed either to play or finish playing hockey Ive been hiding in the eatery with my laptop making Christmas goodies for you. I must say that the mothers of the team kept at me, being inquisitive, showing them what I was doing, how I did that, you know, being nice but really pestering me because I wanted to get it done while I had the free time LOL It took me longer and by no means did I come near to finishing what I wanted to put into it which seems to be the way these days. But I will get it out to you all before the weekend is over. That's a promise.

It's been a very long day for me so I am going to catch a few z's and get started on your gift after breakfast. Drop in later tonight, k.

Enjoy your day &

Oh The Sales

Howdy Cyber folks;

Happy Belated Thanksgiving, Cousins!
And look at all those SALES!
Best get on them a.s.a.p. cause they will be gone on Tuesday.

Yesterday was quite the treat for me. 7 am my aunt arrived and we went digi shopping till noon and ended up spending around 60 bucks. 45 kits in total. Now the fun begins in downloading them all. One store totally crashed and we couldn't get the downloads. I think that is the worst part of all the Black Friday sales. 10 of the kits will have to be downloaded during the week. We got all the rest thou so look out for some quick pages from me during December.

I am so jealous. Yesterday we got about a half hour of snow flakes that didn't even leave a mark. I want snow, snow, snow. My gfs in Utah, New Mexico, and several more states in the USA, got plenty to brag about. The New Mexico snow fall brought tears to my eyes. Here I live in the Great White North and they got snow before we did. Talk about a climate change. I was telling Joe we should move further north cause they got snow already but I don't think he's willing to do that for snow. LOL

Today I am relaxing, I so need it. Until 3 pm at least. Tyler has a game at 4 pm. My sister and brother will be coming around tomorrow to do our Christmas draw and then we will be heading out to 5 malls to pick names from the trees.
We'll be doing Christmas a bit different this year. We might not put up a tree at all. We usually put ours up on the 1st weekend in December but we won't be here. Tyler has a hockey tournament and we will be in St. Catherin's all weekend. The next weekend we have a wedding to go to out in Alberta and the following weekend we are going to New Brunswick. And Joe is trying to talk me into traveling somewhere exotic for the remainder of the month, which he has off. Add to this that I am involved in helping to set up the Christmas concert, the Christmas play, and 4 Christmas parties and you can understand why I so need some one to split me in three. LOL

So how will I be relaxing this morning? I going to make some quick pages, of course. Maybe I'll have one or two for you tonight.

Oh, yes, I am still boycotting 4 shared. They totally suck big time.

Have a snow-rific day.

Pat

Edit: 10:28 am

I got my wish.....it's snowing, and it's staying, yehaw, yehaw, YEHAW!

Just a few Photos

Howdy Folks;

It's almost time for me to crash, as Tyler puts it these days LOL, so I thought I would share just a few pics with you. I am still transferring and organizing them, what a job when there are so many to do with such little time but here goes, in numerical order...

Happy iNSD - Freebie

Happy International Scrap Booking Day Scrappers!

I didn't forget about you. I took some time out yesterday and today to get you a bit of stuff. It's not much and I am just about ready to go out for another hockey game at 3 pm so I couldn't add much more. Tomorrow I won't be around at all so I think it best to just give you what I've got and be glad with myself that I was able to squeeze some time in. Anyone figure out how to split me in three yet? LOL
No comments are required unless there is an issue cause I know there is just way too much stuff to download and do on this busy weekend. You can use the shout box as its way easier.
I used this months DSO Colors. Included are 5 papers, 2 different types of frames, 2 journal tags, a tree, 2 flowers, 2 leaves.

Can some one split me in three, please

Howdy Folks,

Yes I have been MIA for quite a bit here on the blog. Time just doesn't slow down long enough for me to finish what I start LOL.
In the am, I am able to sit for an hour, if I am lucky, before I have to get going, this leaves me just enough time to pop in and visit some online buds, maybe a forum, and poof, the time is gone. In the afternoon I am lucky to get in an another hour and poof, it's gone again. But the time I finish my day I am beat. But today I took a short nap, 47 minutes, woo who, in the afternoon just so I could post this evening, still I am pooped and will be heading off to dream land as soon as I am done, yawning away as I type.

I know I have missed so much here in scrap land but I have been trying my best to at least stay in touch with some of you most of the time. Let's just say Google's Reader is probably over the top, I am terrified to open it and see all those posts.

I haven't had any time to scrap or make anything, there just isn't any free time to spare.

Kristine, I live in Oakville, Ontario, not to far from Kitchener, LOL ( i hope its the wench who left the message) will I come and visit? maybe at the end of spring if Tyler doesn't play ball this year.
Can you split me in three cause i wanna go up to see Pam up in Barrie too.

Oh when was it, early October I think, we went up to the orchard and spent the day picking apples, spent the next two days making 40 pies, what a nightmare, my hands ached for weeks peeling those apples. No I don't have a magic peeler to do it for me, but I am thinking about it, trust me.

This weekend Joe is off, man the guy works way too much, and this leaves me lugging the boys around everywhere. don't even talk to me about snow, I don't wanna see any. I've seen enough. Can some one buy me a ticket to the Bahamas, I so need some sunshine and a beach with some gorgeous blue tropical waters. Nah, forget it, I would probably sleep the time away and miss the beauty anyway.

Last Friday he got a new Honda Cr V and he won't let me drive it. He also got promoted, the snob, he's now a boss. Really, I am so proud of him.

Tyler has a garbage bin full of Hallowe'en crap, yeah it's crap to me. I am an icing girl and that's about as far as I go in the sugar department. That should last him till next year. He dressed up as, of all things, a hockey jock LOL Oh, he's a hockey jock alright, every game scoring goals, even teaching some of the new kids some of his fancy tricks. He cracks me up.

Don't even talk to me about pictures, I have so many I don't know where to begin. I can't promise I'll post any cause who knows when I will be able to post again. Please, split me in three so I can have some me time, pretty please, I'll pay you.

Well I have to go before I crack my chin off the table, I can't stop yawning. 6 am is just way to early for me.

Gotta go
Huggins to you all

October DSO CC - Freebie

Howdy Peeps;

How are you all? Has the cold/flu virus finished in your household yet? LOL I laugh because its so predictable isn't it. I swear if the boys didn't get it from work and school we'd all be viral free. I always get sick from Joe. Joe just has to kiss me before leaving for work. dang.

Autumn is my second favorite season, spring being my first. I'm guessing most people love the change in leaf color which can be seen for miles standing on a hilltop. We have some amazing scenic hilltops here in Ontario and if you go north, wow, totally awesome. We are heading up north next weekend to winterize the cottage and definitely taking pictures.

How was your Thanksgiving weekend? Tasty? Lip smacking good? Joe bought a Presidents Choice turkey this year with all the fixing already done. Stuffed and buttered. I was so looking forward to our yearly roast but what the hey. Yes, I know it's turkey time, but I like to steer away from BIRD in cold and flu season, call me silly. So since I made the bird we've have turkey dinners, turkey stews and stuffing up to our eye balls. I swear if he brings home a BIRD for Christmas I'll cook it until it's burnt then we'll have to go out for dinner LOL. Turkeys are so big and with most of our family sick and staying home I am left with massive amounts of turkey to dish out in a million different ways. Even Lady is sick of it. LOL
But anyway I am babbling on and on when I should be getting to the point of this post...Kim B's DSO Color Challenge.
As you know I don't have a lot of time on my hands these days but when I could I sat for a bit and tried to think up something to do with these colors. All I got was papers so far. See I am not even doing it right this month. Usually I like to make a layout with a photo and go from there but I am in Autumn mode and these colors just didn't speak Autumn to me while all my photos do LOL. But there I go again, babbling. So I'll get to it cause time is creeping up and we have a hockey game at 7 pm to attend which means we leave at 6 pm.
If you would like these papers you can get them here, here and here.

Thanks for stopping by and reading my post today. If you have any problems with the downloads Shout at me in the Shout box. It's way easier then commenting. K
Enjoy your downloads and your day.

Sept DSO CC - Freebie

Howdy Folks;

Is it cold where you are? Up here in Southern Ontario it's like the end of fall. We had to put the heat on a few days ago and last night was freezing outside. I swear the seasons are all messed up. We had the least amount of rain for summer this year and the end of Autumn came in before the end of summer went out. The butterflies are confused. They need the warm Mexican wind to take flight and it's no where to be found. Mexico is flooded with rain and there's not one but 2 hurricanes playing in the gulf.

Yesterday I went shopping for some winter boots with my girlfriend and as we wandered around the stores looking at things we noticed 95% of the stuff was made in China. I can't even find a pair of underwear that isn't made in China. Where the heck does the things Made in Canada go? Doesn't Canadians make anything anymore or does the entire planet get there stuff from China? That really freaks me out. No offense to China but I still haven't gotten over the wheat gluten pesticide that killed a lot of pets or the embalming fluid found in Victoria Secret bras or the lead found in the paint on children's toys, all coming from China. Or the milk that killed lots of Chinese children made in their own country.
I didn't get the boots so tomorrow I will try some other stores like Mark's Work Warehouse. Maybe I can find some boots that actually keep my feet warm cause that thinsulate stuff sucks big time. Last year I had to wear those thick wool work socks over my regular socks in ski do boots, of all things.

Anyways, I am going to be pretty busy over the next several weeks with Thanksgiving coming up and then Hollow's Eve and we still have to get the cottage set up for winter. Stages have to be made, painted and set up, rehearsals, parties, dinners, etc. so I am booked solid. And Tyler decided he wants to play hockey this year so my weekends and nights are gone too.

I was able to get a few papers done and some round frames for September's DSO CC but that's all I will be able to get done for this month. I won't have any time available in October so it's best that I get what I've made out to you now before I get so wrapped up in things that I forget to even get them to you at all. I so wanted to make something to do with wine and grapes cause that's what these colors told me they were but time just wasn't on my side :) So enough of my blabbing. Here is the preview and below it the links.

Enjoy and have a funtastic Autumn.

Pamela McNicol Is BACK

Howdy Folks;

I had the best surprise this evening when I opened reader and saw a post I had been waiting for for so long. I scrolled right on down to read the post by the infamous Pamela McNicol.
You may recall Pamela took a much needed break way back in April 2009 to take care of her family. Well she is making a comeback and I can't wait....I am so thrilled. I missed her and prayed for her and her family every day.
Today she posted a picture of her 3 children heading off to school and they look so loved and incredibly happy. The break was so worth it for all of them.

Please head on over and give Pamela a big warm welcome back. You are going to love her designs. I know I do.
